How to tighten the belt

My belt has been squeeking for a while on humid days, so I'm assuming it's a tad loose. Can I just make it tighter, or will I need to change it? If I an just tighten it, how would I do it, and what would I need to do it?

I would start by soaping it. Get a bar of hand soap and hold it on the belt when the car is running (not too hard)

In the meentime I will look for my post on this

It could be your tensioner pulley. Pull on your belt near the tensioner and see if theres any play..Also, you should be able to take the belt and twist it 3/4 of a turn. Basically twist the belt so you can barely see the underside and is tight when you near the end. Or you can take a wire brush and stick it under the belt (the side with the grooves), have your car running and spray brake clean on it. Just watch your fingers.
