Turbonator?

Has anyone out there tried this product? I want to put a cold air intake on my Lancer ES, this company claims an increase up to 35 hp. Obviously "up to" means like 10 hp, but has anyone tried it? Just curious before I make a hasty decision. It seems to cheap to be any good, but what do I know if I haven't tried it or asked around.

Dude, this thing adds like 15whp, man. Bro, you will never look back once you get one of these. I suggest getting two and running one on top of the other. I got more gains and got 4 mpg more. This got me more power than the HKS SSQV triple diverter piston valve cover spark plugs.

I got a better idea, take the heat coils out of a blow dryer, get a AC-->DC inverter and strap that on your intake. =]

Why not an air conditioning unit from like a wal-mart or heck even from your house??? Put it in your car and have a cold air turbo air conditioned engine?!

Well I am a newbie, and until last night I had not found the search button. But thanks to all the great "Evolved Members" for the thoughtful insight on how to mod out my car. Don't forget that you guys were newbies once!!! I personally like the idea of using a hair dryer coil... how does that work? Sounds like a cheap fix!

By the way if this product sucks so bad then why has anyone allowed it to be advertised on the site, are they hurting for advertisement money that bad?

Sorry man for being so harsh but it's honestly sooo freaking annoying when people are posting the same thread over and over and over again. And come on, turbonator??? You really need to be serious right now, did you actually think this would work on any car?

A newbie with a sense of humor that can take flaming? Wow....must have a flame-proof suit.

Thanks you guys, we were all there once. I was just curious. I made the same mistake as someone else and spelled that turbonater, not turbonator the first time I searched. Again I am sorry for being a little ignorant and a bad speller!

Well thanks again!

another fellow es driver

welp since I'm still a "newbie" myself...and having been subject to overwhelming curiosity as to wether those things work...lemme jus say that they're a huge waste of money. Yeah i had one...returned it within a week . They're garbage...seriously! Once i opened the box and saw it i regreted it. Just get a CAI! unless you have an auto like me then ur only choice is an SRI . Any 'ol intake w/ a good filter will do(k&n preferably). If you want more power out of the lancer then...it's gonna be a long road but like many import enthusiests would recommend, just start of with basic bolt-ons(intake, headers, cat back). Yeah it's gonna require some savin but its better than wasting money on products that aren't truely performance proven. Be patient, save up, and don't even bother w/ those products that don't have a developed rep. RRM, RMR, RPW, ebay(sometimes)...wherever u want to shop...jus be careful. Happy Tuning!
