Clarification -

UW Madison is a fairly decent party school. Lots of students consume alcohol on the weekends. Thus the 50,000 researchers, the ethanol, and the joke.

Wow did that one go over me head big time

I'd say its only about 49000 researchers... because of the 50,000 here only about 2% don't drink

mmmm. what the prof said makes sense. perhaps combined with a s-afc II to bump up the fuel level it'll work ? (this is of course assuming their device actually produces enough ozone to make it viable)

Yeah I would really like to know what kind of vehicles they have tested it on. But think about it, carburated engines are such a thing of the past that they MUST have done tests on FI engines. Otherwise, they would have mentioned that it only works with carbs! Maybe what the prof said about the sensor thinking it is more oxygen is the case. Does anybody know EXACTLY how the sensor works?

I heard a rumor that Toyota has bought this technology for a reported sum of 23 million dollars to include as an option in their new Scion line of vehicles premiering this fall.
