Just purchased the Greddy e-Manage, now what....
I'm still at a loss. I'm going to see if I can't find a cheap GReddy cable. I've tried everything but that. good news is that the 3-8-3 at least identifies the engine a something close: a G93
I've posted to the emanageusers.com group and I've PMd a guy at mirageforums.net who's tuned his NA mirage with the eM to see if anyone has anything special they'd like to tell me. I've also inquired about their support tool cable.

I think it was the EVO's whose coil packs were getting fried. Later version of the software fixed that problem and as far as I know, no Lancer coil packs were ever fried.
^yeah, that's true. i think the condition was leaving the car on with the engine off. i dunno if they figured it out yet, but the thread is in the evo emanage tuner forum somewhere.
there was a misunderstanding about this before. since the unit "fools" the ecu by sending false airflow readings, and ignition timing is based on airflow vs rpm, then the ignition timing is indirectly affected by the unit. if you're just subtracting fuel, this might not be so bad since it'll advance timing and maybe free up some hp, but if you're pretty modded and need full control, this could be detrimental. for full control, you need the harness.

that was supposed to have been fixed several firmware updates ago. I haven't had any trouble, not even extra-warm coils. Of course, it seems, right now, that I'm not exactly the person to go to for "does this work?" when it comes to the eManage.
