Its a Hyundai Excel which Road Race Engineering (Mike Welch) says is easy to do the 4g63 swap. The engine came from a VR-4 Galant. They said it was "easy" because the engine bay is almost identical to the Mirage.. and we already know Mirages have had Evo engines fit in them as well as our engine, the 4G94. This VR-4 swap complete build took 4 months and $4000, you just have to know how to do it and know the right people to do the job. Also take note they are using a 4lug wheel system too. (and of course having all the right parts before hand would make the job a lot quicker/easier)

But your talking about an H22 not a 4G63! I agree if someone had the money and time and the right 63 motor it could be done but seriously buy a honda. And be as rice as you want.... And yeah N1te is right I've seen this V-12 lancer its amazing he put a phram duraguard Ultra duper oil filter on it and got like 150extra hp!!!!!!!!!!!!

half of you guys are crazy.half of you are little rich boys with your 50,000 dollar evo's.and the other half are satisfied with a 140 hp lancer.that will cost 8-10,000 to get real power out of it.yall act yall are sponsered through mittsubishi.i came on here to ask questions and yall get all affended over a honda swap that would almost double stock power.

You think a swap's gonig to be cheaper than "outrageous" prices for Lancer parts?

Oh man, if this was in person you'd be covered in ginger ale. If you've got money to burn, have a blast, but you're asking for it. There's nothing wrong with the Lancer motor. If you're planning on building it, then any reasonable person would replace the 2 weakest parts anyway- the pistons and connecting rods. There's so much wrong with the thinking behind this thread that I don't even want to begin tearing it apart.

You're clearly delusional. Try doing more research when you're no longer high on acid.

hobie you dont think 4,000 for a turbo set up is to much and thats just a t28 rrm and rpw are relly expensive to buy parts from and besides them and maybe a handful of other places that is what were limited to for performance and it sucks.ive heard of putting a 350 in a rx7 and a f350 diesel in a miata. thats what want something extreme but nobody will now unless somebody wants to look under my hood.everybody dogs the lancer for being slow and a waste of time and im finding out that it will cost way to much to get 300 or better hp out of it so im trying to cut loses now with this engine.

You dont' think you'd spend that much on a swap? You HAVE to be high still. 300WHP would probably cost you (ballpark) about $10,000 no matter how you slice it. Unless you can do a lot of the work yourself or cut a lot of corners, you're not going to do it much cheaper.

since were on the subject, why not put the lincoln conti motor in??? jj motor swaps are cool, just stick to the same species. why not a v6 out of the eclispe?? you can do anything with enough loot- A couple friends of mine wanted to put the entire s2000 drive train in a civic. as you pull through the water at the track, and the back wheels start to spin on a civic..........
By the way, im going to be selling a complete evo motor soon! (COMPLETE)

buy Ralliart MIVEC engine.. plop an rrm stage 1 turbo on there. I'm sure something out there fits.. but 300whp CAN be done on the 4g94. cheaper than this H22 stuff u talkin about. listen to hobie he knows his $h1t. and go pick "omarboy25"s brain. he has 300whp & 300tq. i dont think any of ur honda boys want it with his lancer!

I'm wondering why you even bought a lancer dude.. if you are that serious and want to make power, just go for the evo engine swap. Its totally possible. It would be hella easier than the H22 swap.. You need the evo engine, trans, ecu, and suspension parts including the axles. You might as well have just bought the evo for how much all those parts will cost lol..

^^^its not very likely, but considering that they have a lot more potential than a 4g94, someone might want to try it. i wouldnt, if i wanted to then i would have just gotten a honda/acura.
