as long as you put your maf back in correctly there should be no problems.

did you figure out the problem? Try resetting your ecu by unpluggin the (-) battery terminal for awhile.

The battery should be the key to your problems . Unhook both cable wait for 15-30 minutes.
hook it back up drive, drive some 50 miles and you should be good to go. if the light comes back on, do you have a header?. o2 problem then you need an o3 sim. Good luck.

Unhook the battery and do as he says above but insert the step where you let the car idle affect reconnecting the battery cables to allow the ECU to adjust for the new amount of air it is now receiving.

And don't forget to hookup the sensor before you let the car idle.

So here are your steps:

Connect the Maf wire harness
Disconnect the battery and go have lunch
Reconnect battery and start the car
Go eat your desert
Hop in the car and enjoy

I experienced that crap before... If CEL is on check the resistor inside the MAF(not inside the box/it's that thing hangingwhere the air goes) and see if it's broken or not... If it's not broken please do not touch it, mine popped out when I touched it due to static electricity. Now if CEL is not on and you put the MAF correctly and the car looks like it's dying, just let it stay idle then after a few mins do a test drive.... I drove mine until the OD kicks in and after that everything went back to normal.
