$530.00 for a darn MAF sensor

$530.00 for a darn MAF sensor

I went to put on my weapon-r intake and broke the small sensor inside maf unit and today i went to the local dealership and they said warranty is void (ohh well who cares) and then it is 304.99 for the part, 50.00 to have part at dealership by thursday, and 1.5 hours of labor = 165.00
Boy am i getting hosed

Labor??? What Labor? Put it on your-self. Now that you know it's that expensive you'll be more careful when installing it and you'll save 165$.

wow... .you could buy one and overnight it and install it for just the price of that..... why would you have them install it? I believe all you need is a screwdriver and 10mm wrench/wratchet.... its a 2 minute install

go to a junk yard and pull one off there. will save you tons of money. regardless, do the install yourself. it is extremely simple to do (good old 10mm wratchet).

sensor for less than $30, then just bolt it on. i need to put the damn link in my sig...

Tlk about getting drilled, royally. I would never pay that much for a maf. Theres always other place to look, before you go to the dealer.

seriously, I ordered from car-part.com when I fried my Intake Air Temp sensor a couple months ago, had it in a couple days and the install wasn't any harder than anything else. The bolts are still a PITA, even on a yard-part You can get them for 02-03 Lancers OR 97+ Mirages.

You can drive wihtout the IAT for a little while, it'll be ok
