Help Stage 2 Guys, part needed

Hey guys, I recently went from stage 2 back to stage 1. I need the honeycomb piece that attaches to the MAF sensor. Can anybody help me out? I will cover shipping and a few extra bucks for trouble. Thanks

i don't see why anybody would have an extra one. you're not supposed to take it out.

if you've got an industrial fabrication store/shop around you, check with them. some aluminum honeycomb material is used for fabricating things like model plane wings and what not. or you can roam various mitsu boards asking for a dead MAS.

Well RRM Stage 2 instructions tell you to take it out so that's why I'm asking.

you sure it says to take out the honeycomb? i figured they should have taken off the restrictor plate. no honeycomb, no vortices, and vortices are the basis for a karmann sensor.

oh man, mcbrown you messed up your stage 2...the instruction say DO NOT DAMAGE THE HONEYCOMB it is vital that that is not tampered with. It is the plastic restrictor that is in front of the honeycomb that your supposed to remove. no wonder you were having issues...

I 110% can garauntee you that it is detrimental to the performance of the car if that honeycomb is removed.

OK, it's been almost a year since we installed the turbo... I do not think I removed the honeycomb piece if the instructions said don't remove or tamper with. If that's the case, I'm just missing the plate, which I don't know what i t looks lkie so maybe I have it. I will look at the MAF tonight.

The honeycomb doesnt need to be messed with. It is the restrictor plate the little plastic cover.

that is what you need.

McBrown- here are the pictures of the restrictor that you are supposed to remove for stage 2, no honeycomb, just the black peice in fron to fit. one shot is straight on, the other is a low profile so you can see the fine that is at the top that is supposed to direct the air down into the sensor. This was glued onto the entire unit and there was a thing rubber seal around it that also came off, but i didn't include it in the pictures.
