little advice.... on clutch

ok i just killed my stock clutch and need a new one. looking to get the excedy stage 2, . i love to launch my car each time i race, but a little worried that the 4puck system on the stage 2 excedy will mess up my tranny. i have moded my car with almost everything except bigger turbo and cams. if any one has stage two hows the drive? harsh? jerky? and will this stage improve my car's power? thanks in advace guys!

Get an twin disc exedy if you plan on upgrading your cams and turbo (they last a long time, have stock pedal feel and are good for your engine's thrust bearings, and can support over 400 ft-lbs of torque.

I have been doing alot of research on clutches lately because i am also in the market for one so i am between Exedy Twin and Cusco Twin. Cusco is a little less expensive and they are made by Exedy (i think), and people who has this clutch tell me, also some vendors in this forum, its easy to drive on the street and hold awesome amount of torque, like the exedy twin HD. I am still debating which one to go with .

An ACT single 2900 with a six puck spring disc will suit you just fine. PLenty of holding power. I have not ever slip an ACT yet even running up to 800 WHP on their 3200 MAXX extreme clutch.

And no...you will not kill your tranny cause I have been using them for over 10 years now...not killed a single tranny... my evo 3 runs 712 WHP and have progressively been powered up with only one tranny...still runs fine till today...THe ACT willl be a cheaper for you...
