stage 1 or stage 2 clutch
stage 1 or stage 2 clutch
after doing some reviews i will be going with the exedy clutch kit
Q- which stage 1 or 2 daily driver but i drive and launch the car hard
330whp no more mods will be done.
whats the dif between the two stages i searched and found that the stage 2 is thinner?
if someone could help out for some +1 karma

I'm honestly not too sure which direction you should go regarding the clutch, but hear that exedy's break the CMC relatively easily so maybe while you're changing out the clutch think about upgrading the CMC too. I know when I need a new clutch that's what I'll be doing.
Well I'd say it's more a precautionary measure than saying you'll definitely have problems. It's just been somewhat common that people with Exedy clutches break the CMC. I'd replace it just to be on the safe side just so you don't have to deal with it IF it does break.
ok so i had the stage 2 clutch installed..
now is this normal..if im at a stop light and start to accelerate slow the car just starts shaking like a tractor..but if i launch it no problems..
and finally after the install the service engine light turned on the one with 4 wheels on the display and i can't change from tarmac to snow etc.. so went to dealership they reset the ecu for the wheels or something they told me. everything was fine now it pops up again.
any suggestions i don't want my rear dif blowing out..

the shaking is because your near stall speed on the engine. you should give it a little more gas at start. i have the stage two as well and love it so far. i swapped my cmc with the ssp unit just to avoid having any potential problems later on. also, the differences between the exedy clutches are that the HD are as thick as the stocker and the sd ones are half thickness. at least thats what i was told.
This is normal ..... I've just has a ceramic twin installed and it does the same thing ..... you have to break it in for about 700-800km .... low revs, no launching, no hard changes.... also dont slip the clutch during the shudder that wont help at all....
