I think they were $200 actually. Would have been one hell of a match.

I'm curious about the built in MAP sensor. Is it way simpler than I'm thinking it is?

And yeah...slovak, I think you're missing the point of standalone engine management entirely. You're also comparing the price of a piggyback to the price of a fully programmable standalone. In comparison with the AEM EMS (also plug and play, also standalone), the Haltech unit will be significantly less expensive. I hope someone gets one because I'm curious how different the functions/capabilities are, and what the software's like.
it make more sense to me now, i thought it was a piggy at first read, thats why i asked why so much also, sorry dave for the misunderstanding...but a $1000 for a stnad alone isnt bad at all, maybe ill got this route oncei boost(instead of emanage) and have boe tune the shhet out of it

That's why I say I'm curious about the features, abilities and software interface. If it's nearly as capable as the EMS then that's a hell of a good price. I mean, the EMS is a good price itself as long as you look for a deal. About $400 less though would make the Haltech a much more easily attainable solution for the Lancer tuners with the ***** to go that far. When you said "wow" to the price I thought you meant "wow, that's good", not "wow, that's bad".

Thats cool guy's. Yes this is definitly a complte stand alone system. The base line tune will be as we do more and more of these, closer and closer to being a fully running and driving system subject to minor corrections. The aim is to eventually have them so close to being "Perfect" that you only need to spend say 1 hour on the dyno and re calibrate your cold start settings.

Removal of MAF is definitly a large restriction gone and the onboad MAP sensor on the haltech unit helps to make it a very easy installation, or you can use an external unit if you really wanted to.

We are a Haltech Dealer, and this is the final evolution (Excuse the pun lol) of the systems. We have had great success with the emanages, but this really, allows us to work around on the US models the horrid emmission control setups which restrict power so much. Camshafts, throttlebodies, you can do anything you could ever want.

With the turbo guy's, due to us doing a lot of turbo stuff with these as well, we can provied some very detailed maps.

And the ralliart lancer guy's, don't feel left out, we will soon have these for them as well to really take advantage of the bigger engine.

As a direct comparison, this is like a AEM plug and play. And compared to a links system, sorry there is a reason why the links is cheaper than the Haltech, enough said. Haltechs have made a huge comeback in the Australian market, and the resuls are just getting better and better.

would there be different base tunes for each application? For example, a n/a guy vs a turbo guy?

eventually there will yes as more people use it and provide us with feedback. Being so new we only have a few base maps but within a couple of months we will have some very detailed base maps.

Yeah this is an awesome price. Back in the day, my buddy paid about 1200 for the E6H when he had the quad-TBs and then the wiring nightmare began. This is an EXCELLENT price. Even the Microtech i was looking into was slightly more expensive than this.
