Does anyone out there know anything about the MIVEC engine that RPW and Vision Imports are selling for the lancer? I have about $12000 and am looking to spend. is it worth it? Will i have to do mad upgrades on everything? If someone can throw me a bone, it would be great. The sales department at vision imports says al lthat need to be modified is some hoses, but i want a second opinion. who is the person in charge of RPW on this site anyone know. Please forgive my inability to research, i have limited time on a computer while i am overseas. any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

and i'm damn striaght surprise vis and rpw aren't spitting out info on that " mivec conversion" hell everyone has been asking about swapping the engine forever now...
maybe they need a guinea pig ...if thats the case ViS or RPW .. PM me.

 

if you got the MIVEC engine and turboed it...That would be something special. Im no expert but MIVEC has more hp i think around 160 (i could be wrong) and the redline is higher. Haha if i had 12k i could easily spend it in one sitting ordering parts!

 

Oh man just turbo your engine. That seems like waste of money and you will still be slower than an RRM Turboed Lancer. That would be sad!

 

This is the response i got from vision imports.


They come as running motors. Some hoses need to be modified such as the raditer hose and other little items. No cutting or welding is required and it comes with everything you need.

for 12 grand i'd bulletproof the engine. Forge everything. then i'd turbo n boost at like 25 psi to be on the safe side w/100 shot of NOS. that's just me tho.

 

Is that the US spec Lancer they're talking about... or the Cedia? Because that would be one Hell of a secret for RPW to keep from this forum

 

I was told it was for the 02 US Lancer, but i have been led astray before

 

I would hope that those engine drops are a true story, and with little or no fabbing like Vision claims. If that's the case, I'd get on that list in a heartbeat.

covered many times i covered and so has many others just know one has done it yet, can't be sure if the cost will = the best result mirages have done it but haven't been putting anything too great up in #'s
