That's what I thought.. that it was supposed to go inline on the temp sensor wire to show a lower temp. Connecting two grounds makes no sense unless there is a bias between them that is being affected.

I got one of em of ebay, problem is, i cant find my air Intake temperature sensor, anyone know where i can find that on a 97 1.8L lancer?

dont you have a MAS Adapter because thats where it would be, the little connector connecting to the MAS.

ok so theres like 7 wires there, how do i know which one? does anyone know of a website that'll have like a detailed map of my 1.8 lancers engine bay? or maybe a step by step install for one of these on a lancer?

i bought a resistor chip from the same comp for my 88 sentra and i did notice a slight difference in the the (low/mid) higher revs, felt a bit more power to it and she sounded a lil deeper. Now, it wasnt a total 20hp gain (lmao) id something of 3-5 maybe even less.

Does the resistor ever get old or something. I was reading on one auction that said you had to replace them every month. Thats why they are so cheap. Is this true or is someone just trying to sell more of those things?

That's BS, a resistor is a resistor. That should last at least as long as any of your fuses in the car. All it does is reduce the amps (or volts, I don't remember) that travel to the ECU to be decoded as a number for the amount of air entering the TB.
