Installed Kamakazi Headers today

Prior to installing this i had only a magnaflow axleback (sounded deep and throaty LOVED IT but i felt it was a lil too low)

Took me about 3-4 hours to install these headers mostly because every damn screw was a project to get out from all the rust and stripped bolts

Finally i got it on, fit perfect and attached the downpipe to the hangers and everything was done

Then i went for a test drive and this is how i felt about it

*ALOT louder than before, can feel a rumble in your car and it sounds extremely intimidating ahaha, at idle theres a nice low grumble that i like

However, after it exceeds over 5,000 Rpm (roughly) theres a extremely loud screech(guess you can call it "ricey") that u can hear pretty easily, YES it makes car alarms go off, yes it turns head but i dont like that high screech at higher rpms, lower it sounds nice

For anyone else with these headers did you have same outcomes? or what did you do about the high screech? (im wondering if the reasonator would help?)

Im planning on getting the 2.25 custom midpipe in next week, would this make it even louder? lol deffinettly not what i want, what you guys think? or did i juss install something wrong ahha

I just recently put on my RRM header and I have a loud ricey sound when I step on it. It only happens at lower rpms and when my car is not warmed up. I need to put my cat back on. A resonator will help your car from making a rice noise. It may not stop it but it will help. It will also quiet it down just a little.

good job. go have fun 'em

p.s. aftermarket headers tend to make that 'noise'

i have the kamikaze header , magnaflow HFC and catback and its loud as hell. and yeah if your refering to that snappy hi pitched sound in the upper rpms i understand its just sometimes some of the explosion gets in the pipes. unburt gasses go pop in the pipes and becuz the exhuast is straight threw you hear it real well. especially in the higher rpms.

heres a question for ya! were do you feel your gains at. the header only seems effective after 4000 rpm on my current setup. just wonder what your thoughts were.

As a reference.. Here's sounds I had previously recorded.

edit: And now I have a turbo kit.. it sounds even quieter than the first soundclip up there.

Headers make it pretty loud, the effect isn't quite as harsh with the greddy, don't have any raspiness or anything. I would stay away from a test pipe if you don't want it to get louder.
