No. RRM does not have a dyno. They'd have to rent one and pay a lot of money, so they could post numbers that everyone would complain about. That's what I'm trying to say.

If I bought a Lancer tomorrow, got an RRM cam, installed it and ran the car on a dyno, people would come out of the woodwork complaining about this or that.
That is what you don't seem to understand.

No, I understand completely. I know RRM does not have a dyno. And I know that if RRM did a dyno with the cam people would complain about it. Hence it would not be worth it for them to do it, and hence it would be more trouble (meaning having to actually do the dyno and defend against the barrage of complaints) than it was worth (meaning the business they might drum up from it).

Yeah turbo is pretty pricey, at least the initial investment is. Realistically though it's the only way to make "big" power on the lancer, I have pretty much all the NA mods short of ported head and cam and I'll be lucky to be making 140 hp.

You will be lucky to be making 140 hp with what you have now or after you get ported head and cam? Sorry I'm probably just over analyzing this sentence, but I can't decide what you mean.

With what I have now. With a ported head and a cam, I could be at 150-160 hp max and with a tune maybe 160-170 hp. Compare that to turbo where even non-intercooled is 180+ hp without any other mods. If I put a stage 1 intercooled turbo on mine I'd expect to be over 200 hp, since I have all the breather mods, exhaust and forged pistons, meaning I could run slightly more boost (I think).

I hear you man, I am just looking forward to my next tax return, got to have the cam at least.
Thats what I tell people that say I should have just bought the turbo. If I go FI now it should jack my HP and TQ up nicely, stage one would be at the high end of performance instead of the low end. I just haven't bought that winning lottery ticket yet
