ROAD/RACE- A cam is coming!
I'm not hating. I would buy it with more disposable income. Their price puts it in my market for sure. Just things like a nearly identical description and "cam R&D is expensive" leads me to believe that they cut the R&D out and borrowed someone elses or stuck up a deal with RPW which is not too outrageous if you think about it.
RRM could move enough in terms of volume to sell the exact same cam for a lot less. It could be what they are doing. If this was true it might be a better marketing idea to call it the RRM cam developed by RPW. Everyone on here respects RPW's research and knowledge but their prices put them out of reach for most but RRM's huge customer base makes the prices more friendly.

Well Rock said theyd have to get more made, so I consider being made doesn't mean the same as getting them in from another company. And I doubt they would work a deal with RPW then not advertise it. Just consider it another product for our car and drop this.

We tried to sell RPW cams but the wholesale price to us was more than what we are charging you guys and it required a fair quantity so we opted to do our own. It is NOT RPWs. Please don't speculate on stuff that you don't know about. It kinda starts taking a thread off topic and is not true so why say it? Ask it but don't say it. So I answered your question that you almost asked. AS for R & D we did it but it is not something I want to do for a more t han one cam. especially when Mitsu will prolly do away with this engine in their next model Lancers.

RRM and dyno numbers?
It'd be really gay. People would ***** about the numbers or question the specific car used or question the dyno, etc. Having dyno numbers NEVER helps make a sale. Because it makes one guy go "wow, cool!" and nine more guys go " *gasp* that's all?"

So you're just saying that an RRM dyno is more trouble to them than it is worth? Yeah, probably.

We have learned this as you say. It is better for a customer to do independent dyno. Does RPW have a dyno sheet? Seriously, I have not seen one on their cam.
