Yes the dsm TB works. I have a bored (63mm) 1G NT DSM throttlebody, and it works nicely. You do need to rewire your tps, and IAC however. 9 wires.
You can also use a FPR kit designed for DSM's. You just need to bore out the end of your stock rail to fit.

I ported my G93 IM out to 63mm without a problem. Basically matched the port size of the TB to the ID of the plenum, and theres still a couple mm more I could have ported away if I had a larger TB.BTW 63mm TB w/ halfshaft mod/ported 4g93 manifold @ 9psi tuned feels nice!

I don't really believe you, because I have seen AQ (owns a RA now) did it on his mirage in the beginning measurement and after burring it. Anymore, you'll bur the mounting plate and the top part of the IM runner into oblivion. We used a DSM TB gasket to mark the burring point.
