CAM Gear benefits?

Hi Everybody, i was wondering, what´s the benefits of changing the stock cam gears for a racing ones? this really give me some gains in the horsepower and torque?

you won't notice a thing if that's the only modification you've done. A lighter weight cam gear won't really benefit much, even in the long term. The main advantage to an aftermarket cam gear would be an adjustable model. Even then, you're not going to find much in the way of gain from adjusting cam timing on an all stock motor.
as you progress in modification then yes, being able to change cam timing easily can be helpful but don't expect miracles.

Adjust cam gears are used to fine tune a performance. Unless you have alot of horsepower, you wont see any gains. Usually the gear is used to move the power curve around the rpm range but not by much.

What they said. You probably won't notice a damn thing ever. You might use it to tweak the timing, but are you really that far along in your tuning?

Not to be mean, but this seems like a situation where I'd say "if you have to ask, then you don't need it."
