brand new car with weird idle!
hey,
i just piked up my OZ maybe 3.5 weeks ago (3065km on it now) and i noticed the last few days, well i noticed before i think but never paid much attention to it and thought it was just me going nuts...im used to having old cars with maad issues! anyways, if im stading still after a bit of driving like at a stop light or just idling, the idle will jump to like 12-1700rpm then drop back to normal.
I put a cone filter on with an adapter last thursday. Would this be any reason for this?? should i worry about it? I dont want to bring it into the dealership cause then they might just blame it on the cone or something and i dont feel like putting the stock one back in....its a *****! And i dont want them to like mark something on my warranty saying its void now cause of this cone...
any ideas/comments?

Loose connections? MAF loose? MAF damaged? It's hard to say. Honestly, I'd put the stock intake back on and take it in. Then at least they can see if you physically damaged anything.

when u say lose connection, what do u mean ? like the MAF plug? if so, thats in properly haha
i guess if it doesnt seem to go away or get worse, i guess im going to have to stick the stock box back in and bring it in...
also , when a CE lights comes on, does the ECU store the code? If i dissconected the battery after i saw the CE, will it still be there? reason i ask, i had installed the piping, but i guess from whay i read, the 3" near the MAF is what set the CE to go on, but at the time i didnt know that , so took it off and just used the adpater only and dissconected the batt, and it went away...
i dont want the dealer to see hwat the CE was haha

how could i visually see if its broken if possible? i saw there was like a little resistor thing within the bore of the MAF, that was together still haha.
But aside from that, its in one piece and i didnt see anything wrong with it, but i can't take it apart internally.
