Exhaust - 02-03 compatibility with 04+

Ok, I tried searching for this, but could not get an exact answer, and alot of the threads were old so I thought their might be a more updated answer.

Question is simple:

I have an 06 Oz rally, and I want to know if the 02-03 cat back exhaust (such as a DC and magnaflow) will work on my 06, or do I need to get somethign specifically made for my 06.

Mostly because a shop by my place as a couple of options, but only for the 02-03.

Noob question probably, but any help would be nice.

Thanks

does that go for any 02-03 exhaust? Or just the ones mentioned?

yeah I did look around, but I didnt see any thread that specifically stated that the exhaust was the same setup for all years a.k.a anything I buy for the lancer would fit. If there is a good link, please send me in that direction.

Thanks

I think the exhaust will be longer or shorter. Can't remember. I think you just have to add a little piece of tubing and it good.

Best bet is to have a custom setup made. It'll be cheaper and fit perfectly. And you can use whatever piping and muffler you prefer.

I avoid eBay for car parts. I'm assuming you already know it's a fake (99% of them are). Some people have said that they fit fine, though.
