RRM axleback exhaust discussion thread
with the piggyback, am i running a risk of voiding the warranty because of reprogramming and stuff. if i just take it off before taking it to the dealer, could they tell that i have or had it plugged in and give me crap about it?
Thats is what I am saying you can just unplug it. Dealership wouldnt know thats why piggy backs are the way to go if you get a total re flash and the dealership start pocking around in your ECU they could tell you had it flashed( this is saying your or anyone elses dealer ship is competent
)
)
As always, the piggyback will only void the warranty IF IT CAUSES THE PROBLEM.
- If it's wired in poorly and shorts out the ignition, that's your fault.
- If a strut fails, not your fault.
One thing to be aware of - that is the LEGAL answer. Any dealership may or may not give you **** about mods. They may refuse to work on your car. You may have to sue them to get them to follow the law. Never hurts to feel out the dealership before thinking of adding parts like this.

You wire it into your car and it basically lies to the car's computer. It tells the computer "you're doing this wrong, so change it" - this leads to the car running more aggressively for performance instead of the stock tune (which is geared for performance, safety, reliability, etc.).
i took some pics of the new rrm exhaust on my 08 laner. i have the pics on my cardomain site. check it out if you would like.

showtime, with ur RRM exhaust. is it loud? does it have a nice distinctive sound? cuz from the picture, it seems like the weldings are not really nicely done. doesnt look smooth like hks ones. i know its probably not polished but it looks like it might crack in a few weeks or so. and if it does, u get this louddddd sound.
if you can please post a better video? i cant really hear ur exhaust in ur othe videos.
thanks advnace.

More video is always nice.
UUMMM these are the shots from the first page of this thread and no the welds are just fine. I wish I had a real video camera to take better video's for you but the only thing I have is a digital camera. Its sound great in person some one else has recently purchase and installed it to and they were very happy with the throaty tone it has.
Now, i dont know why, but in these pictures the muffler looks like a flat grey and nicely made/cleanly installed. I like how yours looks so tightly placed and its hugging the bumper. Did you have to fight to get it in there that well? everyone elses just looks like its hanging alittle loose.
