SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE!!!! INTAKE PROBLEM!!!!

I got the RRM intake in today, I was take off the air regulater or trying to, the 4 bolts on the inside of the airbox are held by this plastic (crap) brace, I used WD-40 to loosen it up then When I went to remove the bolt the plastic just cracked, so now all the bolts do is spin, is there any way to remove them without cutting the airbox to sh*t???? PLEASE HELP ME OUT GUYS

Put the short shifter in too, works great, very impressed

Thats what I thought, gonna try and use dremel to cut the bolts off, I really didn't want to destroy the airbox though

carefull with the Dremel, you can heat up the bolts too much and melt the plastic... Basically I used two locking pliers, one on the odd end, and the other on the first pair of pliers for leverage... It helps if someone can crank on the other end for you cause those POS bolts are a pain in the :soapbox: or take it to a shop and have them pop it off with an air gun.

happened to me too

used about a 5" wrench in the inside and a ratchet on the outside. the wrench is held nicely because it fits snuggly.

Use a pair of pliers on the flat sides of the bolt heads (inside the air box). Trim the the black tabs inside the air box if you need to. Get a good grip an use a box-end wrench on the nuts. Don't cut you box to hell if you don't need to (so you can re-use it if you need to.
