Looks great. Sounds like you are happy with the product. I might have to order the axle back next week.

Cat back on N/A with little or no intake side mods = loss of back pressure and major low end loss of power.

Just installed mine today as well - sounds great but really isn't that much louder than stock. Now to see if what they say about the fuel economy improvement is true....

Odds are it's going to be more in line with "debatable" and any improvement will be dependent upon the driver and driving conditions.

I've talked to a couple people, including mechanics, and they have all reported between 2-5 more MPG under normal driving conditions. It's not much, but over the long run it is worth doing and will save you a bit of money at the end of the day.

However, I am getting ready to take a reasonable drive and I will track my millage of the course of the trip and give my report.

whine=rice
roar/growl=good exhaust

IMO
+1 Amen dude. The magnaflow exhaust system I have sounds awesome, not too whiny, and when you put the pedal to the floor, it sounds amazing.

I was happy with mine. Add on the headers and you will really love it!

And I still can't get over this...

^^^ That's a joke... anyone buying an exhaust for their Lancer to get a performance gain is kidding themselves.

Do they, your mechanic friends, drive Lancers? Because on a Lancer an Exhaust doesn't do jack. I've had the Magnaflow catback on my car for about four years. I can report a loss of lowend torque, a louder exhaust note, and no appreciable increase in MPG at all. I did get a better 3rd and 4th pull, in other words, mid range torque is better...

I could see 2-5 more miles a tank, but MPG? No. Absolutely not. But how did your drive go?

My full 2.25" catback with greddy muffler and magnaflow HFC is very nice. Definate 3-4 MPG increase, decent to good midrange and top end power increase. No loss in low end torque. Well worth the mod

Nope, mostly muscle cars - which I don't know much about so I can't really comment on the sort of gains that an exhaust would have.

I noticed the loss of the lowend torque as well - nothing really bad, but you can kind of notice that it is there if you have been driving the car for awhile.

Honestly, it is really hard for me to tell on the MPG - when I installed my SRI i noticed a slight improvement - about one to two MPG. However, with the exhaust it is hard for me to tell. On the drive I averaged about 31.6 MPG; however, I was driving through hill country and up and down a minor mountain so that would affect the MPG. Odds are it will take a couple weeks to be able to give a definitive answer to the question.

Quieter since the turbo acts as a restrictor.
