Ordered a Buschur Exhaust

Ok, so I called and ordered the Buschur OZ exhaust. When I told them that I had an ES, they said that they didn't make anything for an ES.

I explained to him that the ES is basically the same as an OZ. I've read this in the forums and am almost positive that it'll fit right?!

Yea, you should be cool. Even Greddy says OZ only, but I know people on this board with the Greddy system on their ES. TEll me how you like the Buschur when you get it....

This thing was a pain in the a$$ to put on. I had to go to the store three different times to get different bolts of different lengths.

They dont' tell you that it doesn't use the stock bolts.... Also, the tail pipe doesn't hand directly in the middle of the opening. And as other people have, I burned my bumper the first time and had to rig one of the hangers differently...

It does sound great though.... It's actually a magnaflow custom catback....

My bad, dynomax....... You're right.... And, I'm thinking about getting a third hanger put on. When I go over bumps, I can hear it rattle a little bit against the suspension mount... It's annoying.

similar problems

I had similar problems with the install of the exhaust, but all you need to do is bend the hanger mount on the exhaust and when you attach the muffler to the main pipe; hold the exhaust right where you want it and tighten it down. Other then that i love this exhaust, it has a great sound to it.

I love the way my buschur system sounds and performs but as for installing it, that was a pain in my *** trying to hang it right... I finally got it to hang right after buying a set of longer bolts, zip ties to keep the rubber hanger from moving back and forth, and a dremel tool and gloss black paint for the melting damage to my bumper... as for the things that went wrong I thought I did a damn good job for doing it by myself! You gotta learn sometime!

Yeah, if you read my review you'd pretty much know the couple minor problems you'd have been facing. Pays to research. It's a badass exhaust though. Sounds even better with a complete exhaust (though I've yet to hear one with a header and downpipe, it sounds damn good with a T3 spooling in front of it and a 2.5" turbo to cat section).

I heard the DC Sports TCS has a great sound and even better performance. They used to just make parts for Honda and Acuras, but now they are making Lancer stuff too. here is a pic my friend sent me.

Show me an independent dyno result.

EDIT: Is it really built like a trumpet? How is lengthening the piping and putting 180* bends condusive to uninhibited flow?

I'm with Hobbie, what the hell is the point of the seperate chamber? Why is it better and what does it do?

Ok, I just did some searching about that DC Sports TCS exhaust and found that the "trupetting" of the pipes is because the exhaust comes with 2, count them, 2 4.5" mufflers.

WTF

Why can't I find any technical reasoning for this in any of the retailer sites or maybe some dyno charts comparing and proving it's benefits. All I have read is that: "This style enables the ability to create a quite yet effective exhaust system." Are you kidding me, who the hell is beleive that without proof. So far I haven't seen any retailers that sell these for any vehicle besides Hondas(Acuras too), so I guess it doesn't matter.

It's designed to make an appropriate amount of back pressure for good low end torque while still allowing good high end performance.

Wouln't it make more sense in the long run to just get a good performance intake to match the performance exhaust?
