I got a question. Does the Tension pulley shift when you loosen it or does it come off? The directions are not clear. I started to install myself and then realized if it comes completely off I might not be able to get it back on myself.

Clarification is needed.

The pulley should shift positions (I think it's towards you if you're under the car) and the belt will loosen. If you're turning the bolt (unscrewing it), it will come off and that's wrong. You'll know the difference because it shifts a good amount.

so do you need to loosen it at all or just push on it to give you the slack in order to get the belt off?

Push on it and it will move. You will need a fairly long wrench to do it, is it takes a lot of leverage to move the tensioner

You think an 18 volt impact wrench will get the factory pulley off?

Well my electric wrench was able to after a couple of impacts. But the instructions due suck. if you go clockwise the screw starts coming off. you have to go counter-clockwise and you massive stregnth and the tensioner will bend toward you which will let you pull the belt off.

rather simple but you might need a hand. i recommend you get a friend to do the tensioner part so you have your hands to put the belt back on

Yea don't take the pulley off. Just move it to release tension.

You say move it. I think you are really saying, push on it firmly is a Blank Direction to release tension of the belt. It should slide X amount which is enough to slip the belt off of the crank pulley.

Wouldn't you be able to SEE when the belt is loose enough to slip it off?
