If it makes the motor rev faster, which it does. It has got to make you faster. Common sense tell us all that.

People frequently ignore common sense. That's why they argue on the Interweb.

Bottom line - lighter pulley = faster car. Maybe you won't drop 5 seconds off your 1/4, but every little bit helps...
