Obvious, yes. But knowing how far would tell you if you were going in the right direction, its a gauge to know if your pushing hard enough, in the right direction, takes the guess work out, especially when the parts company is aware that alot of individuals will be attempting this installation laying under their car with 3000lbs above them possible using the OEM jack. Its "obvious" that many a newb will be attempting this. It would suck for someone to be pushing like hell in the wrong direction and possible rock it off the jack stand. For the simple fact that anyone even had to reply to this post is testimate that a little more time on the install diagram and directions would save a ton of time later. Time that could be spent developing a profitable, in very high demand item like a Turbo!

Distance and Direction are requirements for accurate installations and how tos related to mechanical schematics. Having that information on the diagram would have solved quite a few questions you see on the eboards.

By the way, Im using a 2 ton jack, jack stands and wheel chocks, as everyone should.

I appreciate the help everyone. Im sure from here I can get it on. Thank you Rob.
Looking forward to the Turbo!

Point taken. But do remember that RRM (and many other companies) may not bank on noobs installing parts like this, so some points on the instructions are glazed over and assume prior knowledge. And while clearer instructions may have prevented a lot of your posts, in the end, the thread is what saved your *** (and maybe somebody else's too)...even if the instructions were flawless there would be questions. NOBODY never has questions...things always come up that the instructions won't prepare you for. As an aside: If somebody is crawling under the car using the OEM jackstand...Darwin needs a word with you.

We really do try and listen to feedback on directions and try to incorporate it. Question now is CLOCKWISE or COUNTER-CLOCKWISE? I actually heard 2 different versions myself today. I just want to fix that part of the directions. Please post one word answer to my question so I can put it to bed.

Push the wrench up and to your right if you're under the car and you slid under head first on the passenger side. I know that's not one word, but that's about as specific as it can get I think. The tensioner should move a half inch or an inch or something towards you and the belt will immediately loosen. When I installed it, it was the first time I had done anything like this and it took me awhile to finally get it on, but once I did it was like, "Well hell, that was easier than I made it out to be." Apparently I'm lucky to be alive too, cuz I only used the jack stand in the trunk and had no one helping me with the tensioner part. Haha. I'm just gonna chalk that up to being the man and, looking at it that way, it makes sense. Ha, anyway, the tensioner part does take some strength, but I did it myself with a normal sized wrench, so stick with it if it gets a little frustrating.

just put on my pully last night and I must agree that it is a pain. getting the tension off the belt is easy and with an impact, getting the pully off and on is a snap. but when you go to put the belt back on yourself be prepared for a fun time. I did it after a while but its a pain in the butt pulling on the wrench and slipping the belt on at the same time without killing your hands. as for value you cannot beat it, you can deffinately feel it and notice it rev easier.

Guess that means it is worth the pain. Lets say... You are a better person for doing it.

Motors can create EMI, so it not impossible that a high-revving engine will give you some static (just very unlikely). Do you have after-market speakers? If so, you may want to go with a higher quality brand.
