Hi, this is my first post. Never hung around a car forum but have been active in a few Jeep forums as my passion is building and wheeling Jeeps.

Bought a 08 Lancer GTS with CVT, navi, and sun and sound package about a month ago because I drive a long distance to school. Called and ordered the pulley mid day Monday and received it Wed. I was very impressed with how quick I received it. The pulley seemed very well made, my only complainant is a small nick on the edge of the pulley as something appeared to be dropped on it. Nothing huge, but it was still there.

Pulley went on quick and easy. First gear in manual mode has a noticeable gain, not huge but it does pick up a little bit quicker. The biggest difference is in 2nd and 3rd gear, the engine definitely revs. From there, there is still an impressive difference in the rest of the gears.

I am looking forward to seeing if my highway mileage increases any since living in AZ requires use of the A/C from April to November.

stock pulley

Is the stock pulley just a pulley or a balancer pulley? And as usual no computer up grade for the automatic cars. I should have learned my lesson when I had an automatic Tiburon GT, same crap.

It appears to be a harmonic balancer. The RPM one has no balancer on it but so far no vibes to report.

Yes I meant JULY 28th. Me and Mike (another member on here) are headed up there in the morning. I'm hoping the numbers are as impressive as my butt-dyno says. I'm hoping to be 150 whp 150 tq.

Just looked at your mods and to my suprise you dont have an RRM intake shame on you for not having the full RRM package for dynoing. Now we will have to have a debate on what HP that would add

Numbers are in.

First let me say that I am VERY happy with Rob and RRM. Not only myself but everyone else that has driven my car stock and with piggy/pulley can highly tell the difference. And thats is what s more important than some dyno number.

I called and had a good converstaion with Rob after the results.

By looking at Blacksheep's numbers of 142.1 hp and 143 tq stock, I was expecting to be up near 150. My testing was done on a dynojet dyno which we all know is way more accurate than the mustang dyno. Blacksheeps was done on a mustang dyno so I feel his numbers a little high.

Looking at my numbers, there are several things that could be wrong or right.

A. Blacksheeps dyno was mis-calibrated
B. My dyno was mis-calibrated
C. 152 crank hp is accurate from Mitsu

The thing to remember is that dynos are different from place to place. I know my car is faster than what the numbers show. As well as others do (Mark). I'm counting this dyno as "not accurate" and will be going to another shop soon. If I get the same results, A and C will be true and B will be false.

Not that I doubt Blacksheep. Right now I'm doubting my dyno. For now the numbers are on hold. Other than the A/F which shows that the piggy was working. Blacksheep posted a 11.67:1 ratio as my average was 13:1.

Also with the piggy, RRM has stated that the TQ was the large gainer. My chart shows this to be TRUE. With Blacksheeps his tq falls on its face and begins to decline at 4500 rpms. Mine pulls and continues climbing all the way to 6500 (redline) rpms. There is no drop in tq. None.

So there you have it fellas. We will all just have to wait until I can get to another dyno shop. Shouldn't be too long.

Wow...someone finally dynos their car with RRM parts and doesnt even want to post their numbers? Let the speculation begin! Serious I think you should post them either way just so everyone knows what they were and you dont leave us in the dark.

You have the facts COMPLETELY wrong.

1. It was not my car that was tested, but a manual ES that loaned the owner of EvoM (Ali, screenname is spt).

2. The dyno used was a Dynomite dynometer, NOT a Mustang.

Please just post your results. You were misunderstanding a lot of things. If you post what actually happened, we can help interpret what happened...

PS - we don't "all know the Mustang is less accurate than DynoJet". That is completely false. They are two completely different types of dynoes that give two very different types of results. Comparing DynoJet to Mustang is apples to oranges. Please don't disparage the name of a quality company like Mustang.

1. Well, I was going by the originator of the dyno post. Didn't mean it was you specificly Black. Sorry about that mate.

2. I read somewhere that it was a Mustang Dyno used. IDK. What I need to do now is find a Dynomite dynometer. Or unplug the piggy and go back to the same dyno.

3. It has been my experience and I know several others that Mustang Dynos always show higher numbers.

Your numbers will be in the dyno thread. I did that to get a Master List of all dyno results.

Definitely not Mustang.

Mustang dynoes show LOWER numbers. Generally, a car that runs 100whp on a DynoJet will run 85whp on a Mustang.
