The very short answer is: if the pulley IS SHOWN to cause the problem, won't cover it. They will most likely try to blame any problem you have on the pulley, because it's a way for them to be bastards. You may have to sue them to get proper service on your car.

But there's like a 0.1% chance that the pulley will cause a problem.

(How come my "very short answer" was longer than FinestSoldier's? )
lol, that like being a oxy moron i guess right lol idk

There are no problems with pulley for 02-08 Lancers. We have sold them for 3 years without a single comeback and no warranty related issues reported by any customers.
Depends on the dealer. This is another item that dealers actually buy from us.

ok i have a few questions for the pulley on the 08.
first is the performance difference that amazing with just a pulley upgrade.
second do i have to re time the belt or should i have the Mitsubishi guy just install it.

I don't know about "amazing", but there's definitely a difference...the car becomes a lot more peppy. You don't have to re-time the belt since #1 it doesn't go around the timing belt and #2 the 08 Lancer doesn't have a timing belt to begin with.

The performance is not amazing. Its a very very slight increase in throttle response. The most noticeable difference is downshifting. A lighter pulley allows for less of a jerk when you downshift. Though they do complement each other, a drop in filter is a performance change you can "feel". Without changing the way the engine breaths your not going to get much of anything out of the pulley. Now change intake and exhaust and then you'll start to really notice the throttle response freed up by the lighter pulley.
