Question Mitsubishi Lancer Underdrive Pulley Set

Anyone here knows where I can find lighten pulleys for the 1.6 litre DOHC Mivec 4G92 engine used in the 1999 CK4A Model

Unorthodox and AEM only seem to stock pulleys for the 1.8 litre engine.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

After a few attempts at e-mailing AEM we've pretty much come to the conclusion that they have zero interest in the 02 Lancers so don't get your hopes up on that one. Cliff's right though. At this point, the only pullies you'll be able to get will have to be custom made. I can only imagine the cost.

I'd wager dollars to donuts that Evo pullies would not work. Width, overall diameter, mounting bolts etc, are probably different from the Lancer.

If you know someone at WYOTECH of Nashville Auto/Diesel or UTI or if you're good friends with someone who machines parts it shouldn't cost more than a normal pully set. It might take a few tries to get it right though. Try asking RRM about that or RMR since they both have built up Lancers. I'd personally take that effort and put it towards a Flywheel and new clutch

Talking Unorthodox Racing

Unorthodox Racing is make me some sould get them i a week or so custom made.

Custom one off pulleys start around $275.00-300.00 and can take about 3 weeks for production.

How much would it cost for some custom made pulleys for the 4g94 that’s in the 2002 lancer oz.

Damn thats a confusing post. Are you asking if they make them for the 4g94? Are you actually recieving custom made pulleys?

They're all like that

I'm pretty sure he's trying to say he ordered a custom set and that anyone can do the same for about $275-300 beans.

Has anyone written to Unorthodox about manufacturing them for us? I'd imagine if people keep custom ordering them they'd catch on eventually, but why not speed up the process?

An oooold reply if you look at the date (well not to old, January at least). Haven't emailed them since but I figure I can try again.

There is a possibility, and in some cases we may already have something that fits. It depends on the engine and the pulley layout. For example, when the turbo Lancer Evolution comes here in 2003, if the 2.0L Turbo engine is left the same as the 95-99 Eclipse, we will have the pulleys already made for that car. We have not seen a 2001-2002 style Lancer yet and do not know if the pulleys cross over from anything else or if they are completely new.

Is there any possiblity that '02 Lancer owners will be seeing any drivetrain parts from Unorthodox now or in the future? Thanks.

Have you guys already tried to use the 1.8L crank pulley? You know the block is the same other then deckheight...and the head is pretty much the same other than a slight revision in the ports and camshaft profile (from what I have heard).

If you contact Mitch (Mirage1) from http://apparts.netfirms.com he might still have my stock 1.8L pulley and someone could see about having him lend it to you to see if it fits on your car no problem...I would think it would unless you guys already tried that. ($270 is a ripoff for one pulley if they already can use the 1.8L mirage pulley...which goes for $170)

mitsu cars share a lot of common parts than other jap makes.
u definately can find one that fits from a 4g91 or 4g93 get the belts also for your original one might not fit. for best fit weigh the pulleys.
