Seems pretty accurate to me, I don't understand how Motor Trend is throwing out 7.7 stock, though. They even clocked the Mazda 3 at 8 flat.

well. I did hit a 7.8 seconds on my cvt.
But it was after I drove for 3 hours before I timed it.
I was quite surprised.

How are you guys timing this? Please dont say with a watch. You should at the very least be using a G-Tech and even then its not the most accurate.

Most major magazine tests use GPS equipment to gather 0-60 times. Using a stopwatch should give you a very rough idea though.

wow!!! 9 seconds!

thats less that what i thougt it would be, especially considering the 03-06 lancer gets around 9-10 seconds stock.

LOL...That's actually my video. It was done as a rough estimate for the 0-60. Regular video speed was used and a time was placed on the frames to meet the exact time until I shifted into 2nd. There was a slight incline in the road and I'm sure the tire spin didn't help either. I expect stock this car does it closer to 8 in level conditions minus the wheel spin. That test was closer to 9.3 for 0-60 time. When I mod mine up I'm going to do the same test on the same strip and see what the results are in a real world test. Elevation is approx 3400' and the day temp was about 25C (77F).
