test pipe question

If I were to buy a test pipe for my 04. Have it installed and the o2 sensor threaded back into it. Could I go ahead and have the shop drill a hole for the egt probe and a/f ratio probe before it gets installed? right behind the stock o2 sensor or are there better spots for these to go?

thanks

Not sure how it is on the Lancers, but on my turbo manifold for my Civic I tapped the #3 cyl exhaust runner 3" from the head. Supposedly the #3 cyl runs the hottest, so that's the recommended one to tap. Yes, the probes can with stand the extreme temps; so you find out which cyl tends to run the hottest, tap that runner about 3"-4" from the head to get the most accurate reading.

BTW, are you going turbo? Cuz you won't be it if not!

The A/R can be about anywhere from 1 to 2 feet down the pipe, whether a turbo DP or N/A header DP.

I plan to go turbo. I just recently bought the whole Zeitronix kit. I was going to install everything but boost. I want to be able to install it once and not have to again later on in the building process
