My 06 just turned 60K. She's just barely broken in. . Really, if you take care of the car and do all appropriate maintenance I don't see why these little econo-boxes won't last for a very long time. The Lancer Carpet is kind of crappy and you have to watch minor things like weather stripping/door seal stripping but mechanically they are pretty good.

im at 126k. just replaced my t-belt , waterpump, valve cover gaskets w/ sparkplug ring gaskets, drive belts, a worn outer tierod end and some worn bushings + alignment , luckly i did all repairs myself and saved hundreds. its true some cars hold up better than others. but as long as you take care of the vehicle, it will last for ages. probly one of the best purchases ive made was buying snow tires. If you're gunna drived the car, might as well take care of the car.

I like your style . That's what I want to do with my car if the engine ever craps on me, 4g64 time! 112k now and still running strong.

dang sun! 130k is no joke, I'm a little scared of the turbo project and I'm half that. So, by "instead of a tune up" what are you not doing, changing the timing belt/water pump? are you not doing anything that you should be because you spent money on the turbo, because I hear that's like, a recipe for disaster. With a turbo car, you're supposed to do double the maintenance and really make her feel special!

Well i do take very good care of my bby It had the timing tune up about 35k ago so thats set, today i start the turbo install right when i get out of work, for the turbo goes in new plugs, my NGK wires, new fresh oil change of course because the pan comes off, new air filter for the turbo intake, and filled up with 93 octane So the car is getting a regular maintanance tune up, but with that comes a super tune up via turbo! haha

Did you do a compression test or anything before you went boost? How many lbs are you going to run? I see these guys with high mileage boosting and I have yet to see a problem...makes me want to start putting together a kit.

haha, nice. Good luck on that thing! Mine's nearing install day, not quite though. I'm slow as a turtle, and being way too cautious about it.

No compression test, but the car runs great now, and was running fine before turbo..when we dropped the pan you can see the cylinder walls and they were mint, no scratches or dull spots they were like glass Im only hitting 3 PSI right now i think i have a vac leak somewhere, i need to do a boost leak test, but i want to run 5 right now! Even at 3 its really so much of a noticable increese in power! You really should start to put a kit together, run like 5 PSI, let me tell you its so addicting!!!
