At least our cars are pretty efficient at transfering that HP to the wheels. Seeing some dyno's we only have a 12% drivetrain loss, maybe less

Also these cars look sexier than any other cars in its class. Although a civic si isnt far behind.

well its not an evo. The reviews I read online before I bought this car basically kept saying "its not as fast as the evo....wish it was faster like the evo...can't wait for the evo.." Seems as though everyone forgot thats its competition is the standard Civic's, toyota camry, mazda 3.... Out of those cars is nearly the quickest, definately the best looking, and most features for the money. Read a couple reviews saying it was the slowest car out of that list too....not sure what they are thinking. The Civic (not si) is still the most anemic, torque-less car I have ever driven...Coworker has a 2006 and I can smoke him silly with my CVT.

I think torque wins the day. our 4B11 can drag competing sedans around in a tractor pull hands down

And the point of this thread is?

If you didn't know it had 152hp, you were clearing not reading any of the promotional material before buying...

yeah.. well i was being sarcastic about the lancer having 150 hp... i think it has a lot more power than ppl give.. ofcourse its not the evo..but we didn't buy the lancer thinking it was the evo... im just saying other cars in this category dont have as much hp than the lancers...

Wrong. Absolutely wrong. Try 20%.

Your 12% would put the whp at 133. No member that has a valid dyno has posted in the 130s. We are all in the 120s.

We are also heavier. Compare the power/weight ratio. It all evens out in the long run.

yeah, i smoked a mazda the other day, but ended up messing my rear passenger side tire. I got up to 128 mph in a very quick time, wasn't timing myself cause i was paying attention to the road, but defiantly seemed faster than any other car i've been in.

A lot of people say "hey your car is sick" and then they see the lancer logo in the back and tell me i should have gotten something else like a civic, and I just ask them why when i can smoke any civic (Non si) that I see, and still have a navi system.

I agree...the car does have a LOT more for the money then any car in it's class, and I'm not only talking power wise.

I too, smoked a Mazda 3 (non-MS3) the other day . Well to be fair...I can't say I smoked it. It definitely was a close one. However, it wasn't a street race. It was just a launch off the line to see who could take the lead until the next light (top speed being about 45mph).

People are constantly complementing the car, though. It truly is a great machine for the money.

I just wish I could afford the Evo X upon release
