From what I've heard there isn't much of a difference in hp gain form a sri -cai.
Better to lose a couple hp than suck water into your intake. Plus sri's are cheaper.

Fujita?

i thought the SRI Fujita didnt fit on our car?? trouble bolting down or something QUOTE=timothy;5048180]personally ive had bad experiences with CAI's due to water so this time im around im went with the SRI (fujita) i think it all boils down to personal preference.

big difference if you get to build up your car enough. a SRI makes power gains thru out the power band and even below.

A CAI's weakness is in its low end performance. If you think about what ram effect is, it takes time for the effect to build in a CAI. But its disputed by many, but from what i have seen in dynoing intakes, CAI kills SRI in the mid and high end, depending on CAI design of course. And for the love of god no one bring up the V2 / Hybrid intakes, thats a whole different topic all together. Getting down to SRI Vs. CAI, it really depends on what your goal is for your ride. are you out for top end performance Pony power, or is it you dont mind slaughtering some horses to get tractor pulling power (TQ). the combo of intakes and exhausts, and headers, and pulley's they all effect your engines efficency and health.

Thats why I stress number one that you inspect if not change your spark plugs when you do modifications to your car, Catalog your milage on the spark plugs and look at the burn characteristics. After your upgrade check from time to time to see i how rich or how lean your engine is now running. If you go to far to one side of the force, it will effect the life of your engine big time.

which is another reason why i went with a SRI. our beloved lancers are lacking in low end power so it only makes sense to go with a SRI IMO ill be posting vids of my fujita sri within the next few days hopefully
