So last night while installing a grounding kit, i tore a small coolant line. one going from the block, down to a metal coolant line, right under the throttle body (the one you make when bypassing the TB)
anyway, this morning i picked up a 2 foot length of coolant hose and replaced the tore one. I took the car for a test drive, and now it is overheating.
I am thinking the coolant hose i used might be too long, cos its all bunched up, and may be effecting the flow.
my friends theory is that an air bubble may have formed in the block somewhere.
any ideas?

ok so i talked to my mechanic friend, he said it is probably an air bubble. He told me to jack the front end of the car up a bit, take off the radiator cap, and then run the car for a while. He said that will force the air bubble out.
you don't even need to jack the car up, just take the cap off and crank the heat. let the car run for awhile and the bubble will make its way out of the system. when the heat starts working again you should be all set--if not you may be due for a new thermostat as well!
at least you could do a coolant flush while you were in there! haha. when i put on my ported IM i totally let coolant develop this huge slick down the driveway i was working in... i was shocked i lost so much but i had to do the 'ol radiator cap trick after i refilled it.
