2008 Lancer Injen CAI $280
#18
Sorry guys, im new here. Been reading the pages for 24 hours waiting till i can post. But my question is, about how long does it take to put the injen CAI on my ride, and do i have to cut anything? Or is it just bolt up?
Thanks, and I just got my lancer last week. Trying to start modding it out, was thinking CAI, then exhaust, then a piggy back of somesort. Please advise.

hey guys, sorry I've been away for tha past couple weeks, anyway...there was a mixup on my order and I just got it installed last weekend!
first of all, I have to say I LOVE IT. The lancer seems to have a little bit more to it than before, but without numbers I dunno what kinda gains I got. The sound is great, but it's not loud until the high-end, so I like that aspect for cruising.
Also, it was really easy to install. It only took me 35 mins. to get it all in. I took the plastic cover in the wheel well loose instead of removing the whole bumper, and I think unless you have the CVT's cooler in the way, this method should work. Like I said, it was easy and straight forward.
I'll get some pictures up in a few days, I had to rush and get it done so I didn't take any in the process of installing it.

I agree with Kurt. There is NO WAY that the Injen is so much better, it's worth paying more money. Stick with what you have unless you're unhappy with it. If you're always chasing the newest intake, you'll be buying a new one every year.
