ROAD/RACE- 08 Lancer Header DYNO!
We finally have our first header done for the Lancer. We fitted it on ES and GTS, manual and CVT. The results were quite good. We did not use a Cali car. Both cars were the no precat versions and so it would be hard to improve on this particular version of Lancer. We bolted the final prototype on the manual and the car performed quite well with noticable gains over a large part of the powerband. We then bolted this header on CVT with paddles. We also had good feelings from our butt dyno. We did baseline runs on this car before then bolted on our header. The results we felt were not our imagination! Up to 8.2 h.p. gains and more power most everywhere in the rpm range. We also got 8.6 ft lbs of torque. Manual 5 pseed guys should realize even better results at the wheels than this! This header is not going to fit the cars with 02 sensors fitted to the stock exhaust manifold. We are going to work something out for them and they should get even MORE gains than above. Meantime, we are very please with the results and the design with built in flex section and cramic coated will feel very native in the Lancer. In fact it was barely louder than the stock set up. Can you say SLEEPER? Haha.
ROAD/RACE
This dyno is header and ONLY HEADER on a CVT GTS.

if those results are accurate then i cant wait to see what will happen with the pzev lancers. when you say work something out does that mean put 2 new mounting points for the current o2 sensors or does that mean more of a computer mod to imitate the correct o2 voltages so the car runs right with no cel? btw are you guys gonna do a dyno with the header and axleback and intake to see the results. i would only hope they work together nicely as they all try to do the same thing and that is get more air through the engine.
