PZev header is going to be about $30 more. It just has to be and that will need CEL eleiminator included too.

wait so are you saying with the 30 extra it includes the cel eliminator or that on top of the the 30 you need the cel elimitator also? do you need one of them or two, one for each O2 sensor? is it guaranteed to work with no check engine light? what exactly do they do in order to get rid of the cel?

We are working on the CEL issue. So far we had to make a change or 2 but it seems to be working. I want to see more miles on the setup before we go to production. Other issues ar that this is even longer piece than the FED version. So far so good and the reviews on the FED Header is off the chain. See the other thread about header.

Really close to going with the header for my 5 spd ES Fed Spec....................Just would like a little more coaxing and positive words from people with this upgrade. I see it has dynoed with a 8hp upgrade as well as 8 ft/lb tq , but what does that mean to actual performance? I have yet to be impressed with a bolt on with the new Lancer. Is this the one?

although i cant say much about the flowmaster exhaust you have, I would consider SRI and flywheels to be 1up class upgrades, when you start getting into heavy duty upgrades, exhaust upgrade, header, CAI, piggyback, all of these are considered long strides in terms of performance.

Dyno's show power, some over report such as DYNOJETs for example, others like mustang or Dyno Dynamics will break your heart. I am not sure off the top of my head what dyno RRM uses but I am sure even if you pull the number down to 6/ft/lbs of TQ, its still something major and something that can mistakenly be felt by your buttdyno.

Its one of the most "bang for your buck" upgrades you can slap on your car.

I got the header

I have the header and it is worth it. As for the RRM exhaust, well, I saw one on a graphite grey lancer in Bethesda and that instantly convinced me to never allow that rust bucket to hang of the back of my car. All I can compare it to is a special-ed kid hanging off the short bus bumper being dragged down the road.

As for the header, its well worth it. Its clean, adds noticable power, something you can feel. I noticed the TQ right away.

I would suggest you use a lift to install it. Also, it might take a minute or to to get the exhaust to line up straight after installation. Its not a perfect fit but it does fit and with a little love you can get everything straight.

The only other mod i have that made a bigger impression was the WORKS ECU Flash. Hands down, that things adds mucho power. I would get it after you do any other mods as to have it programmed to match what you have under the hood.

what's up man? hope all's well with ya.

"bang for the buck" is absolutely subjective but the RRM Header is by far my favorite mod. Not because it's nicely tucked-in all stock looking in the engine bay.

Because it feels like THIS was the way the car shoulda came to us STOCK. I've let a couple local so cal dudes drive my car. Not too long before they have their own set.

Every product is being improved every batch we make. Painted exhausts are doing great, no issues. The header seemed to be the BEST N/a Mod to date for 08-09s.

Yes, the header does a good job, but slow down there Rock. That exhaust needs some serious rethinking. The whole thing needs to go back to the drawing board.

Here are the major points wrong with the RRM exhaust:

It hangs down way to low at the axel / bolt location. Looks very unprofessional, so much so that it appears to be rusted out and barely hanging on.

Painting it black with the mangaflow badge stuck on there makes it look even more like "illegal Imigrant with a pipe bender" type of job.

The tip looks horrendous. It should have a sharp edge, be tucked under the bumper with an even reveal / clearance. Please see the HKS with resonoator - It has a sharp tip that is adjustable.

I am talking to a couple local custom exhaust shops and Im seriously thinking that Im going to have to design this thing myself. Let me show you how its done son.

PM me on that or call. Love to talk even if it is feedback. Exhaust has had a couple issues in the beginning but none now. We get tons of postive feedback. Some of the stuff you mention in opinion and that is fine. But we hear from the 1000+ guys who have bought it and I can count on one hand the negative feedback guys. Call me though. Sometimes a process like this does uncover some way to improve things. Meantime, opinions are opinions and facts are facts. I will be in today 10-2. Good time to talk. Oh yea, today is Saturday.

Meantime header ROCK OUT WITH YOUR ____OUT.
