ROAD/RACE- 08 Lancer Header DYNO!
RRM spent thousands of dollars developing the header trying different things, until they found a design that suited our needs.
And even if OBX did steal the design, which probably isn't the case, they're still proof the product can be made/sold at a much lower cost.

Come on now, designing a header isn't exactly reinventing the wheel. Any simple item like a header is going to be similar. I'm guessing they probably didn't sink too much money into it.

by thousands of dollars i wasnt joking, whether it was 1,000-10,000 i dont know but i know it didnt just cost them $500.
even if they designed it in 1-2 days after testing , mounting and fabricating the labor itself would be several hundred dollars....mark that up for overhead etc and any benefits the company might offer its employees and you get amounts that are in the thousand or thousands of dollars.
also its not just about recovering an "investment" road race isnt trying to be some corner tire/wheel shop that makes a couple hundred bucks off a product and is satisfied...they are a business they must make profit in order to survive.
I get paid roughly $30 per hour when you break my salary down....now when a client comes in and proposes a project my per hour rate is multiplied by 4 to compensate for fees and overhead...so the client ends up paying $120 per hour for my time, thats how it works in the real world.
I understand all that, but anyways the point is that you can get the same products for much cheaper. Even if the company didn't do as much leg work as RRM, from a consumer standpoint, that doesn't matter. In this case you're getting pretty much the same thing, just for a hell of a lot cheaper.
Props to RRM for supposedly sinking money into their header, that's great and all, but buying from them would still be throwing away 300$ lol.

I did not say that
I just did not want to engage a debate right now. You want the differences, there are many. THey are made overseas so I do not have one but I have not seen a dyno sheet for sure, and I am sure you will get no support from them once you buy it. Support a Chinese copy cat then I guess. GOD BLESS AMERICA! Our headers are hand made 10 at a time. OBX brought in one container of them and will drop them and run. Each header costs us $300+ to make. Their headers cost $30 each to make. I know because I have had a quote done overseas.
Where is their DYNO?

Great so you guys provide dyno sheets and number specs where there could be a chance of bull**** - aka false claims (its happened in the past)
No support, maybe but then again you guys haven't herd of support either have you?
This guy doesn't seem impressed. I've read a few thread over on the genesis board seems like there are quite a few unhappy folk.

"They made 2 SRI sysems
1 for the 2.0T
1 for the 3.8
It consisted of a bent medal tube that was really cheap and slapped at K&N filter and priced for low cost amount.
1 it was made out of medal and their weld were bad. They spray painted them flat black and said they were powder coated. Then the paint started to chip. I noticed rust in a few of the SRI after a while."
"They made an exhaust system for the 3.8. It had horrible welds and the piping... if not just hunk of metal, weighted more than stock! They used Magna Flo mufflers and put their name over it
They then screwed everyone and I mean everyone with their Next Stage Power Pro "Famously known as NSPEEPEE" Claimed to trick fuel and air flow. Promised to give you a lot of ommphhh in power for both the 2.0T and 3.8. They sold for around $300-$400.
Lots were sold. about 1/3 of the people who got them, noticed gains the others didn't see improvement at all. It was the cheapest thing available because PowerAxel had a respectable price for their tune but people think or thought that it was ridiculously high price for a tune. WHAT DO YOU KNOW!? So few 3.8s reported problems with the NSPP. Very few got refunds but it was like epic long arguments and emails passed and shared on this forum to get their money back.
The rest got screwed with a piece of plastic and some wires.
Then they vanished from the Forum.
Chris@VT engineering was their 1st test mule on the 3.8. After he ended their sponsership deal early this year, Chris showed me everything and told me everything about RRM's product. How bad it was and the issues he was starting to get with the NSPP.
He noticed that his car was performing better after he took everything of theirs off. After that, I noticed that RRM vanished from the from around the same time. Hmmmm lol
SO, BUYER BEWARE! RRM IS OUT TO SCREW EVERYONE WITH EXTREMELY SHADY BUSINESS. If I couuld, I would hunt then down and file a class action lawsuit against them for putting out the NSPP knowing it was a piece of ****! "
See go ahead and support OBX, that just means you support a company that steals its product designs and is a cause for loss of money to the people who worked hard for the product they put out. Its the same thing the video game industry is fighting with gamestops used sales. And as for RRM products? Cant say I have anything but good things to say! Rob is a great guy and ALWAYS backs his shiz!
im not saying its not great. I own the header, intake, pulley, piggyback, and their exhaust is sitting in my basement for when i need an inspection sticker. but thats what
header-480
intake- 230
pulley -150
piggyback- 420
exhaust - 400
1680$.... thats a good chunk of change. i have not dyno'd or tuned the can since all of this stuff has been added although i do notice a difference, but its not rocket ship.
That being said, i am buying the rrm turbo kit within two months so all of that stuff is for sale except the exhaust.

RRM is infamous on that site for its products and service. even the MODs have things to say.
