Set the timing degree @ 0, then when you go to a dyno have them fool with it.

Based on the mods, I don't think there's a lot that can be done. You only have two engine mods and they're mild ones at that. I would wait until you have more mods (like a more aggressive camshaft, ported head, turbo, etc.) until you change the timing since right now, you're basically stock.

No, you can install yourself...but to get any gains from it would be only figured out via a tuner. Keep the cam timed @ 0 degrees and install with the stock timing @ TDC.

I have a Fidanza Adj. Cam-Gear.
Retard the Timing 3° (Max) and you'll have more Low-End TQ.
Your idle will be abit rougher however.
Nothing too bad, but you'll notice the difference.
If you Advance it, you'll have more Top-End HP.
I wouldnt go beyond 3° however, you may hurt your engine.
I played with it and tested each setting, one by one, each way (+/-).
Test it out and see what you like.
Its nothing HUGE, but it is a recognizable difference.
Remembe to disconnect the batttery for a few minutes to reset the ECU each time you make a change.

The result is mostly as predicted, I gained a little power. The next step is to turbo my car. The kit is purchase and I'm waiting for delivery. It is supposed to take 2 weeks.
