Just use the stock bearings but obviously get new ones. The pistons should come with rings.

just make sure you also have the cylinders honed before installing new pistons and rings. If not, your compression will suck

^Hondas just seem to be easier cuz they've been out since the dawn of time! and have a MUCH larger aftermarket.

What exactly is your experience in anyways? I'm building a 1.6L for boost as we speak!

in a honda?

lets see....i've built b series from the ground up,d series, currently builting a ZC for the wife's drag crx....i've owned many many hondas....a little too many...rebuilt bottom ends and some minor head work here and there....the zc im doing now is going to have a fully built bottom end with a micro polish crank, high compression pistons, full port and polish head,3 angle valve job, most likely skunk 2 internals on the head and maybe boost down the road....

might even push a small shot of juice through the motor...my first zc was in a 88 HF fully gutted with a 6 puck un sprung with a lightin flywheel...cheap header and intake with stock cams and internals....on slicks and a 50 shot, ran a 13.55 in a 1/4....i've done my share but trying to move on to something different cause honda's are very over rated here in AZ with the whole "if it isnt JDM, you aint ****!!!"
