I was talking to you. Not trying to insult your intelligence, but other people read these threads too so I don't want them to think this is like a H&A swap where you just butter it up an dslide it in and everything's all clean and lovely and fits like it was meant to be there.
And please understand that after my year and a half here I've seen about 6 DOZEN engine swap threads. If I see another, there's libel to be murders.
I stand by my cost vs. effectiveness idea that I doubt anyone is going to max out the 4g94 so why spend the extra few grand to swap in an engine that will require more custom work to be done?

I talked to a swap company that said our tranny will bolt right up, but you have to worry about strength issues. They also said the older EVO's have a locked front to rear, meaning just leave the rear yolk disconected. My only concern would be AYC(active yaw control). For the money I think you should just stick with our powerplant and a turbo. At least for now, until we can tune a mivec easier or a Dohc that fits right comes out.
If anyone thinks "do a swap, its easy to get alot more power", there sadly mistaken! this is not a honda or VW. swaps for this car are just not feesable. TURBO and built the bottom end... thats the only cost effective way.
i was thinking take a 4g63 from a evoIV, grab some motor mounts from a evoVII, since the engine bay is almost identical meaning mounts are in same place, do a little bit of cutting here and there and be done with it, and i know its harder than it sounds.

engine swapping is never economically feasable, i think it's just knowing if it can be done. look at at the hybrid how-to's from SCC and tell me if any one of those swaps seem feasable. not trying to go too OT here, but i thought i'd throw my .02 cents into the engine swap arena just to get it done and over with. i've seen too many people ask about it, and figured give them a bone at least.
