the budget for this test is 1100$ 400 dollars of which has been pledged / raised. Expanding the dyno testing to include drop ins or one more short ram will raise the cost by another 400 dollars. Since it will not look good if I appeal for donations via evolutionm.net, the testing will have to stand as is unless more revenue from car club sales generate additional funds or 400$ drop into my lap.

This is the mandate unless other parties wish to sponsor further testing. It is possible that the Fujita maybe subsituted but i am trying to give them a chance, I have been pretty rough with my reviews of their products so this is the attempt at redemption. I may sent them an email and ask them point blank if they are willing to donate hardware for the testing, if they opt yes, then they are in, if they waffle then I may drop them and speak with WORKS or K&N

Perfectly understandable. Have you contacted WORKS or K&N about donations of their filters for testing? Its always worth a shot to ask anyways.

Evo Soul. I didnt meant to come into your thread and *****. I was just hoping maybe somone with a drop-in filter lives near you. this way you could test theirs as opposed to buying more stuff.

I know its not easy to do all this stuff. I don't care either way. Im happy with my short-ram intake

if i dont buy or aquire everything new out of the box then people (some not all) will complain that something was wrong with x y z intake, it was a dirty filter, maybe its damage, blah blah blah. I have a INJEN intake myself, I would bolt that off and use that but to preserve the unbias treatment of the hardware they have to come right out of the box.

Contact with

RRM = Call scheduled for monday
AEM = Limited front end talk, waiting for final approval
INJEN = "Call back next week"
Fujita = Calling head project Tech next week to findout if there is another V3 or not

$60!!!! I paid $50 for mine, and that was new. I have it still for sale. Willing to give it away at $25 or donate it if EVOSOUL would like it for testing purposes.

Will the test cars be Fed spec or Pzev? Also are you going to use a totally stock Lancer? A/T or Manual? Great opportunity for all of us to see what is real, and what is hype!

Well here in Canada we don't get it as cheap. We have what you call PST/GST tax plus shipping and the all mighty custom charges.

All Canadian Lancers are of the FED Spec type. Second, the testing will be on a manual only. I have a few people offering up their car for the testing, second Mitsubishi Canada has really been kinda to us in donating cars for these type of abusive tests. they even gave us their EVO X last spring to scream on the dyno.

It should turn out great, I am hoping to have all this testing concluded by November.
