if works agrees to participate and send up something, then I will test it. But if not I am going to pass. an SRI and CAI 4 way shootout seems good enough to me no?
THe last thing to consider is if I should do this on the stock exhaust or upgraded exhaust and if so, what exhaust. Since that question is just full of issues righ there I think its best to do all this on stock cars.

Yeah, I'd agree that its best left on stock exhausts.
The 4 way shoot out is a good idea, however the problem is that we already know the CAI is better than SRI from your previous review about the Injen. So in theory it would only be a comparison between the two SRIs and the two CAIs, unless that's what you are shooting for anyways.
Regardless, I'm glad there's someone willing to do these kinds of tests. I never see anything like this in the Evo X forums, except there's a TON of options (for intakes) for that car already.

if i dont buy or aquire everything new out of the box then people (some not all) will complain that something was wrong with x y z intake, it was a dirty filter, maybe its damage, blah blah blah. I have a INJEN intake myself, I would bolt that off and use that but to preserve the unbias treatment of the hardware they have to come right out of the box.
