Idling Issues

Ok well I just installed a RRM v1 SRI on my car. So far was nice, but i noticed that when i take it out of gear at higher speeds 60+ and put it in neutral or push in the clutch to take it out of gear. My car has trouble maintain rpm, and 3 out of 5 times will turn off. When i slow down the RPM goes up like 30ish and coasting itll go back up to 400ish rpm, but without its around 100 to ... well dead. Any suggestions before i take it into the dealership?

Did you connect your MAF correctly? The dealership is not gonna do anything unless this problem happens with the stock intake.

I recently installed a K&N filter, brand new, someone suggested wiping the MAF sensor with alcohol, i also use premium gas, is that a bad thing?

Let's step backwards for a second: Are you saying your car is turning OFF...as in not working...when you disengage the clutch? Also, did you plug the MAF back in after you cleaned it?

I havent messed with the MAF since installing the intake, it worked fine with the old stock filter. When I'm going 60+ and push in the clutch (neutral) or when i put it in neutral at 60+ and coast. The car has struggling getting rpm and sometimes will turn off completely

If there was a problem with the MAF sensor you would almost definately get a CEL. The car monitors itself very well. The premium gas is just a waste of money unless you got it tuned for the higher octane rating.

fixed it by putting the old filter back on, guess K&N just made a bad filter...

so i shouldnt use premium gas?
