You should get a mustang and Swap an RB26DETT into it. That would be fun

this mite b a dumb question but

im wondering in u can swap a ralliart 4b11 but keep the GTS tranny?

just cause i think the ralliart 4b11 should b cheaper then the evo 4b11, ill b like those gc8 owners with wrx swaps instead of sti swaps... significantly cheaper

I'd just go for the evo 4b11t w/ GSR 5-spd. The ralliart's 4b11 won't get the aftermarket attention that the evo engine will have. But yes, the 4b11t RA should slap straight onto a 5-spd gts tranny.

While I wouldn't do this swap myself just because I'm not comfortable with how many computers all these new cars have. But I think it would be a direct bolt in for the lancer. Idk how you eliminate the rear drive train from the tranny but I'll research that. Coat the FMIC in a flat black and you've got yourself quite the sleeper . But I'm still not sure if I want to keep this car or not. Depends on how much this swap will cost and how much the X's and my insurance are in 2 years.

also keep in mind you can buy the entire 4B11T internals, turbo everything included for about 5k.

thats almost how much your gonna pay buying a turbo kit from RRM..

so if i ever thought along those lines it would be a lot smarter and easier to just swap with a 4b11t and save the headache of messing around with a totally different car motor

You also have to consider labor if you aren't swapping it yourself. From what I'm hearing the ECU and computers will be the biggest hassle. I'd do the swap and trailer it to a shop to get all that stuff done.

well man...ill put this bluntly...

If you want to know about an engine swap...you really arent going to figure much out because i dont believe anyone has swapped out the new lancer engines....go to a race shop and have them look it over and see what they say....also a 4g63 is NOT going to bolt right in.....swapping out the engine will cost you A LOT more than going turbo. If you dont like the engine because of cold starts than i would suggest getting a new car man...seriously...engine swapping is headache after headache....i swapped out a 420a for 4g63 on one of my old eclipses....it is not worth it man.
