Low End Torgue

i love driving my car but am less than satisfied with its performance up to about 4,000 rpms. it seems sluggish, and kinda lacking on power. i was wondering what i could do to increase my low end torque and power short of throwing a turbo on it. any suggestions?

Nothing really, it's been proven, bolt ons do nothing unfortunately

You could try just getting a 4-2-1 header to increase air-flow and a full catback exhaust. 4-2-1 is for low end and 4-1 is for high end. Technically there isn't much of a gain, but doesn't mean it won't help. The main thing is don't expect much when buying a bolt-on. Just go with something to your liking and it should do the trick.

thanks, guess i will just have to save up and get the turbo kit, any suggestions for that? i have read a little about the TSI turbo kit and the RRM turbo kit. i was leaning toward the RRM turbo kit. what about the accolade turbo kit, i know they are also really expensive, but just curious if anyone has had any experience with them.

I basically have the TSI turbo kit. Since my lancer is my toy car i really don't drive it as much and i keep it down, but today i started it back up after it been sitting for almost a week and it still drove like a champ. I'm running with no tune and it still runs like a beast. I have the BBgt25 turbo. i know its pretty small, but of course you can still upgrade later on in the future. I also wouldn't recommend spending too much on a turbo kit. Piece it all up by yourself and you'll save tons.
