Not impressed
Agreed: Little dissappointed that no sound of the turbo or the acceleration of the Lancer were heard. Most likely has the RRM Axle Back exhaust as well, so why not market the turbo and a drive by with the exhaust? More of a commercial then "bragging" rights of the turbo!

i agree, that video along with the ones just posted were very weak and unimpressive. it sounds like a stock lancer with a slight whistle. i've seen TCs on youtube with turbos that sound wise blow the socks off of those videos. seemed like they were more concerned with the rice burnouts than the quality sound.
and i cant imagine that the turbo actually had an exhaust on it? it sounded identical to a stock lancer muffler. im not hating but im saying if im gonna spend 5k on a kit i want to at least sound faster than the stock lancer. ive seen the previous turbo 08 lancers video and such before and i was also not impressed.

Neither one of those really impressed me at all! On the second one where they "screech" the tires; I can do that with a 08 5spd. non-turbo. I wanted to hear the BOV or something that let's you know what is truely under the hood; not just a 152 HP slug. Sorry for hating, but just being real, and saying what I think allot of people are thinking!
really? you guys want loud *** fart cans and super sonic hyper flux blow off valves like the next evo? i rather have a quiet but fast car. Its annoying when its loud especially in a street car and you can't even hear your music. I've ridden in the RRM car for hours long and its a beast. I fell asleep like a child on our drive down the coast that's how comfortable the car is and its power is there when needed and it really pushes you into your seat.
Its a great car to have. It has all the power needed for a street car and doesn't compromise its DD abilities/comforts.

you cant name many "quiet but fast cars" out there at all..even the evo x as quiet as the stock exhaust is..it still gets pretty loud in high revs
if you are going to invest in a turbo kit for this car most people are gonna want more than just a DD. people who use the car for daily driving will do no more than bolt ons. people who go turbo will have other plans of modding and having a quiet stock sounding exhaust while turbo will be probably the last things on there mind
what i mean by quiet but fast is something like say an evo in stock form or an m3, audi's, mercedes, ferrari, lamborghini etc. they don't make a sound unless you smash on the gas and only then you'll hear the throaty motors, spooling and bov's. I don't mind that I just don't want to be cruising around and sounding like race car where all you can hear is exhaust and bov but its going no where...it gets annoying especially on a daily basis.
I know several people who have built their cars to be fast and still be quiet. Maybe its just me or I'm just getting old here...
Here's an example...The Scoot Rx7.

The RRM Lancer is for sure louder than stock and the spool and bov is very evident in person the videos don't catch them too well. I'm sure most of the people that went to the recent RRM meet will tell you that the sounds amazing.
This car still rocks all the factory goods with the factory sub and it still manages to push you into your seat. Especially with someone like Rob or Brian behind the wheel you'll be able to see its full potential.
ever since i've gotten my car the goal with it was to make it faster...something that when merging onto the freeway i can press on the gas and it will pick up speed and i won't have to downshift or take the rpm's up to 5k and sound like a honda trying to get to 60mph in 16sec. just so i can beat the van in the slowest lane. Just something with a little more kick and a bolt on turbo at low psi is exactly the answer. Less worry and no need to dump cash into bolt on parts that won't make much of a significance unless mated with even more parts and a tune.
