That I'm not sure of. All I know is that when I had my DSM, I called RRE to order a catback and the call went to RRM. The owner of RRE is a certain "Mike Welch." I don't know who the official owner of RRM is. Rob might run RRM, but does he own it? Conversely, Mike Welch might own RRE, but does he run it?

True, I'm not really sure what the relationship between the two companies is.

Either way, most of the stuff coming out of RRM seems to be overpriced and over-embellished. Even if they do know their stuff - which they very well might - they don't seem to be telling it like it is.

RRM and RRE are next door to each other.
Last time I called RRE they referred me to RRM because RRM doesnt like it when lancers go to RRE...

From: MS/SG...now in perth
its quite impossible
its not an AWD to began with
whats the point of making it fast
its just a family car
u might as well just get a ralliart or evo if u want their performance
in long term it will be better for you
in term of resale value etc etc
your lancer value will drop like crazy once u start modding it

Yes...people who buy their parts have even been known to say that they can feel the power in the prices

You don't buy a mitsubishi and expect it to have a high resale value.

as funny as that is i think its really true. theres so many fanboys in these forums its pathetic, convinced that RRM can do no wrong because they made their car sound like a racecar!!

wonder why none of them are defending rob in this thread though.

ha very true. I'd say overall the simplest way to put it would be that it would take more money to make your GTS as powerful as even just a Ralliart, and even still the car wouldn't be designed for it so it would still be inferior.

Spending a ton of money to have an inferior car = epic fail

JUST GET REAL .

By the way, this has been one of the funniest threads I´ve seen.

There´s always something called grow up and save money, that can help in this matters.

I have heard that RRM's project lancer which is said to contain only parts available from RRM is 280-300hp at the crank and has beaten stock Ralliarts. You wont have the AWD or the TC-SST but you will be able to compete with those cars without major damage to your wallet... I would say all the parts would cost around 6,500...

this has all been covered tho... a lot.

It would just be easier to leave the Lancer as a DD and pick up a RA in the future... I recall seeing a RA posting 400whp, but don't quote me on this.

I don't know if you've read the posts on the last page, but popular opinion is that RRM has a tendency to over-estimate their hp figures lol. I'm not saying that their Lancer can't beat Ralliarts, but I'm not too sure on that 280-300 hp figure.
